Admission Procedure

 APPROXIMATE PLAN ON HOW TO APPLY MAY BE THE FOLLOWING:

STEP 1. Before applying to the University, you need to choose a course and get more information about academic curriculum, languages of instruction, scientific research options and other issues related to your future studies. This information is available at our Web page. In case you have any questions, you are free to contact the Department of International Relations (inter@bsmu.edu.ua).

STEP 2. Check your compliance with the minimal entrance requirements.

STEP 3. Fill in the application form and send it to the Department of International Relations (inter@bsmu.edu.ua). You can either apply online, or download the application form at this Web-page below.

STEP 4.You can send to inter@bsmu.edu.ua scanned copies of the following documents:

  • passport page with personal details (or other identity document),
  • document of previous education with list of disciplines studied and grades received or official transcript, translated into English or Ukrainian,
  • signed consent to personal data collection and processing (it can be downloaded at this Web-page below).

STEP 5. The admission board will review your documents and decide on the possibility of inviting you for studies. In case of a positive decision, the Department of International Relations will issue you an official Invitation for Study and send you its scanned copy.

STEP 6. On receiving the invitation letter, you will be asked to do the following payments:

  • visa support fee of 648 UAH (bank details will be provided);
  • courier delivery service (any courier post which you arrange to deliver you the original of the Invitation letter needed for getting student visa);
  • 20-50% of tuition fee (as a proof of your motivation to come to Ukraine with aim of receiving higher education).

STEP 7. After receiving the original of the invitation letter, you can start preparing all necessary documents for getting a student visa. You can do it either with the help of our representatives, or without any help by contacting the Embassy of Ukraine in your country of residence. Visa requirements can be found at the Web-site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: http://mfa.gov.ua/en/consular-affairs/con/visa.

STEP 8. As soon as you get a student visa you need to start arranging your travel to Chernivtsi. Keep in mind that you should inform the Department of International Relations about the date, time, number of flight, city of arriving to Ukraine at least 7 days before the arriving date. The Department of International Relations will then prepare a special “letter for meeting” which is to be sent to migration authorities for facilitating the process of crossing Ukrainian border. Without this letter you might be forbidden to enter Ukraine.

STEP 9. Come to Chernivtsi, pass entrance tests, and become our student!
