26th January 1950 is one of the most important days in Indian history as it was on this day the Constitution of India came into force and India became a truly sovereign state.
Today the Republic Day of India is celebrated with much enthusiasm all over the country and abroad. For 441 Indian students of Bukovinian State Medical University, the biggest foreign community, it is a great holiday as well. Traditionally we celebrate this day together with the whole University teaching and students’ staff as well as Chernivtsi residents.
On behalf of all the Professors and tutors of the University let me congratulate you on the 62nd anniversary of your Republic, wish you good health, success in getting knowledge and education, happiness and peace for all your families and you beautiful country!
